Gearmotors
Pittman's brush commutated DC gearmotors offer smooth, quiet motion and long life. Our family of gearmotors feature sintered steel gears and are available in many different gear ratios. Armatures are skewed to minimize cogging, even at low speeds, and windings are resin impregnated for greater reliability in incremental motion applications.

- 2-pole permanent magnet construction
- Diamond turned commutators for maximum brush life
- Copper graphite brushes (other types are available when needed)

14000 Series
Pittman's LO-COG brush-commutated DC
motors offer smooth, quiet operation and long life. Armatures are
skewed to minimize magnetic cogging, even at low speeds, and windings
are resin impregnated for greater reliability in incremental motion
applications.
Cost effective planetary gearheads are available to meet application
specific speed and torque requirements.

6000 Series
Pittman's 6000 Series (0.86"
diameter) brush-commutated DC motors are low cost, high performance
ideal for use in applications requiring the power of an
"ironless core" or "coreless" motor, without the
associated cost. This addition to our LO-COGŪ family is designed for
use in image processing, semiconductor processing and mass data
storage equipment, computer peripherals and office automation, as
well as other applications for the medical and industrial markets. By
using a skewed 5-slot armature design and bonded neodymium iron boron
magnets, this motor provides more power than most other DC motors of
similar size.
Cost effective planetary gearheads are available to meet application
specific speed and torque requirements.
